Audi A4 1.9 TDI: Intermittent Starting Problems

Good day.

I'm having the following problem:
"On my Audi A4, model year 2002, with a 1.9 TDI engine and 131 horsepower, I occasionally have the problem that it only starts on the second or third attempt."
It could be anything from 3 to 10 days, and then it might happen once every day again.
If it runs, it runs without any problems.
Is the temperature independent of the weather?
No error codes found.

Has anyone else encountered this error before and managed to fix it?

How long do you let it idle per start attempt?
Are the temperatures displayed under "Diagnosis" plausible?

Hi,

There was a TPI investigation.
I had the same problem with AWX and AVF.
Simply set the light switch to: parking light or low beam, and it will turn on .

Somewhere, the BUS system is colliding with the engine management system. Replacing the light switch might also help.

Otherwise:

Check the PD cables (they are located in the oil of the valve cover). But if that's the issue, he'll also likely have problems with the engine running.
