I've only recently started using the VCDS device. However, it doesn't seem to fit very securely in the vehicle and appears to be slipping out over time.

I've now noticed that in the 2-pin configuration, one pin has two middle pins that are significantly longer than the rest.

The two middle, longer pins are for vehicle ground and signal ground. It is intentional that these two pins connect to the vehicle first when plugged in.
