Hi, I installed a new, inexpensive sensor from an aftermarket supplier, and I didn't register it. So far, everything seemed fine, and the light has remained off since then.

Normally, I only drive around the city, and about once a week I drive 50 km on the highway and then another 50 km back.

Okay, so I drove 450 km one way and then another 450 km back, a total of 900 km, on the highway, with an average speed of 100 km/h, and longer stretches at 160-180 km/h. On the way back, the particulate filter warning light came on for the first time; I had never seen it before.

After a stop at a rest area, the particle light was off again, but now the engine light is on again, and it's telling me that the exhaust pressure sensor input signal is too high icon_sad.gif.

I would now like to obtain an original sensor.

The question is, does the control unit need an update, or is it sufficient to simply calibrate the sensor?

For engine codes BJL, BLS, BRS, BMM, BKD, BNA, BRT, AXD, and AZV, an update of the engine control unit is required by the vehicle manufacturer.

Adapting the differential pressure sensor to the control unit is always necessary, regardless of the engine code, and requires the use of a vehicle diagnostic tester
.

I have a BLS (presumably referring to a specific device or system), so according to the seller, it seems like an update is also needed in addition to the initial setup.

Best regards,
