Hello everyone,
I'm having a problem with a Skoda Octavia 2.0 TDI BMM. I replaced the engine because it was running on only three cylinders. I installed a used engine and immediately replaced the timing belt and water pump. I transferred the high-pressure diesel injection system (PDE) from the old engine, except for the cylinder that was defective.
The engine is now completely installed. I started it, and now I'm having a problem: it's difficult to start, but once it starts, it runs normally.
It indicates an implausible camshaft position sensor reading as an error. I installed a new sensor. I checked the wiring from the connector to the engine control unit for continuity, and I re-checked the timing belt. Everything seems to be okay... maybe you can help me.
Sincerely,
Massimo.
