"For the past few days, my 2016 Toledo with a 1.6 TDI engine has been acting up. The car is locked and everything is supposed to be off. However, after a few hours, the radio turns on by itself and stays on. Similarly, the headlights turn on from time to time without anyone doing anything. I hope someone can help me."

I would first check if the carpets are wet or damp. That would be the first indication of a water leak.

Once, I experienced a similar issue with my Audi. It was quite cold (-8°C) and windy. The car had been parked outside for a few days. Suddenly, the low beam headlights turned on by themselves. The taillights were off. The only thing that worked was to start the engine briefly and then turn it off. There were no error codes stored in the system.

Dieses Verhalten ist ungefähr 2 bis 3 mal aufgetreten. Never again after that.

You might be able to identify recurring, external factors that contribute to the occurrence of the error.

The carpets are dry. The only thing I noticed is that the light switch flickers when it's in the "auto" position. After clearing the error memory, only the problem with the light switch remains.

Perhaps the light switch is the culprit, with internal electrical connections where they shouldn't be? Or maybe the vehicle's onboard computer is malfunctioning, and the glowing light switch is just a symptom...

Does the electrical appliance still run even when the light switch is in the OFF position?

Hello,

I would definitely take a look at the "S contact error." For me, that seems more likely to be the cause of the problem than the light switch. The light might be an emergency light because the "S contact" is malfunctioning, and the other control units are not accessible.

How do I check the contact? The problem is that it only happens intermittently. What's strange is that the light switch in the car sometimes flickers.

Hello,

The numerous missing messages in the error scan, along with the slightly too-high voltage reading in the vehicle scan at the beginning of the topic, suggest potential problems with the vehicle's power supply.

Are the connections to the battery properly tightened? Do you have the possibility to test the battery by swapping it with one from another vehicle? Have you checked all the fuses in the vehicle for signs of damage or corrosion?

Do you have an oscilloscope to check the on-board voltage? If not, I would at least look at the measurement blocks of a control unit, preferably those that are causing problems, such as the on-board network control unit, and see how the on-board voltage reacts to changes in load, doors slamming, etc.
