Hi there,
I want to measure the individual return flow rates of the (Bosch) injectors in a 2.0L CR TDI engine. Now, I need information about how to connect the measurement hoses.
When searching online, you can find complete sets for measuring return flow rates, including various accessories, with prices ranging from just under 30 euros to several hundred. Based on experience, the cheaper versions are often unsatisfactory, and it's usually only after purchase that you realize if a particular product is suitable for your needs.
As far as one can tell from the details visible, it's questionable; the strainers on the return line look different.
Actually, I would only need four simple adapters to which I could connect my own measuring containers using hoses.
What are you using there?
Sure, here's the translation:

"Thank you in advance!"

Hello.

You're right, sometimes "cheap" isn't always better, but in this case, the manufacturing process isn't complicated, and I would actually recommend a budget-friendly option. A colleague uses a set from BGS and is happy with it, and the reviews also look good.

Thank you for your information!
"However, each of the connectors on this model looks like it has a rigid collar where you would expect a flexible hook. That was exactly my point from the beginning."

Unfortunately, I don't quite understand what you mean. I've always managed to use the adapters (they look exactly like the originals in the photo), and with some injectors, I was even able to just slide the hose on without using an adapter.

Best regards,
Dago

Hi there,
Before buying a replacement part from Asia based on suspicion, I solved the problem using readily available materials. A silicone hose with dimensions of 8mm x 2mm fits well onto the return ports of the injectors. Four short pieces of hose, four 50ml syringes, and a bracket are all that's needed.
It will look like the image.
The device is less suitable for frequent use because the hoses do not fully close when detached, causing a small amount of diesel to spill. I would prefer adapters that allow for a more secure connection and thinner hoses. The results showed nearly uniform return flow rates of 30 ml or 35 ml over five minutes.

The end justifies the means. For occasional use, it is perfectly sufficient. icon_smile_thumb_up.gif Even with the original adapter, it is not entirely possible to prevent diesel leakage.
