Hi everyone,

I've been experimenting with KPower a lot lately and have recorded some performance graphs.
I was surprised to see that some measurements looked reasonable, while others had a lot of jagged spikes in the chart, as you can see in the extreme example in "Hinweg_3Gang.PNG".
I took a closer look at the log file recorded with VCDS and saw that there are only a few milliseconds between the measurements, which is because I only recorded the two necessary data points (speed and RPM). I thought that more measurements would normally lead to a more accurate result.
Then, after the import, I deleted some of the acceleration measurements so that there was approximately a 0.5-second interval between the remaining data points. And behold, you obtain a beautiful curve plot named "Hinweg_3Gang_bereinigt.PNG".
I had assumed that KPower automatically performs smoothing, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
Have you had similar experiences?
There might even be a setting in VCDS that allows you to specify the time interval between measurements, which I need to check later. If that's the case, it would solve the problem. You just have to know icon_smile.gif.

fast. icon_smile.gif It is being smoothed. However, the smoothing algorithm is not designed for such high sampling rates as are now possible.

You can reduce the sampling rate by logging only the values you need.

For reliable measurements, it is desirable to have at least 3 data triplets (time, speed, velocity) per second.

Best regards, Rainer.
