I've checked the logs and noticed that the timestamps/dates vary significantly across all control units.

Therefore, my question is: How can I correct this or synchronize it with the computer's time?
Is there possibly a "time server" in the system?

Thank you for your help.

Hello,

Good question. Speculation: I suspect the instrument cluster sets the time on one or more CAN buses.

It should work automatically if the clock in the instrument cluster is set correctly.

Best regards, Rainer.

That is definitely not the case, as I have already observed this on several vehicles.

I doubt there is a conductor.
Viele Grüße

You can find the mileage, date, and time in CAN ID 0x7D0 on the CAN drive. For example. I suspect this information is also of interest to other control units that are not directly connected to the CAN drive.

This is at least the case with vehicles that have an EDC17 system. icon_wink.gif

Sure, here is the translation of the text from German to English:

"LG" translates to "Best regards" or "Sincerely" in English. It is a common abbreviation used at the end of emails and letters.
