Hi,

I believe that the Audi A6 C4 2.5 TDI 140PS with the AEL engine might have the "H" variant of the N75 turbocharger control valve, but I can't see it in the picture. Where can I find it in this image?

I've only heard good things about the N75J solenoid. Has anyone had experience using this version on an AEL engine or a similar engine?

Thank you in advance.

JP Roberts.

The boost control valve is easy to find: Since the boost pressure needs to be regulated, a thin hose runs from the valve to the turbocharger. You'll find the turbocharger in the exhaust system. Follow the thin hose from there, and you'll find your boost control valve.

PS: The control valve only opens and closes. However, when rapidly pulsed, it can also achieve intermediate positions ("half-open"). But because it's a closed-loop control system, there shouldn't be any significant difference between different versions of the valve. So, if you're hoping to gain more performance by replacing the boost pressure control valve, please abandon that idea immediately.

Just to find it... the colleague's hands are already on the right track. Since the car has been available on the market for a while now... or rather, was... simply search on Google Images for "N75 AEL" and you'll definitely find some clues... or follow the suggestion of the previous commenter... it's actually quite simple to find if you know what the thing does.
