Hi.

My car is cutting out too early.
Last year, according to the speedometer, I managed to reach 210 km/h with the Powerbox, but then it limited the speed.
This year, a month ago, he could only reach 200 km/h before having to ease off the accelerator. Now, however, he can only reach 195 km/h before having to ease off the accelerator.
'Why???? And what can I do about it?'

Hello Tino!

Here are a few 'thought starters':

-gradual mass airflow sensor (MAF) defect/contamination... are you using a sports air filter?
- The intercooler is dirty.
-Initially slow, now rapidly accelerating engine failure due to excessive unburned fuel causing overheating.
-Different tire sizes can have a significant impact on the top speed.
- Fuel filter or lines.

... so I think that's enough for now... maybe someone else will have something to add... icon_wink.gif

Regards,
Michl.

Hello Tino,

What you are describing is not actual derating, but rather a loss of power in the higher RPM range or backwind/headwind effects, inclines, or declines, etc.

The engine's power cut-off is most noticeable when accelerating hard in the lower gears, as the power delivery drops off significantly beyond 4000 rpm, but definitely above the engine speed reached at maximum velocity.

Michl has already mentioned some possible vehicle-related causes for your "problem."

'Thank you.'

I have a series air filter.
The intercooler has always been sprayed with a hose during washing (with a normal oil film on the inside).
I'm still using the same tire and wheel combination.
Fuel filter replaced.

'By 'detuning', I meant the noticeable acceleration above a certain value, and after exceeding that value (195), the fuel cut-off. Visually, this is also apparent on the current display: first, the total fuel injection amount is shown, and then, after 195, the reduction in fuel injection amount so that it stabilizes at that value.'

What can I do about it now?
I'll have the LMM checked first, and then maybe cleaned.

Thank you for the tips.
best regards
