Ford Transit, manufactured in 2016, battery replacement

Hi there,
Does this model require any adjustments to the new battery when replacing it?
Unfortunately, I don't have any more information about the vehicle at the moment (first registration in 2016, diesel engine, double cab with a pickup bed).

For Ford vehicles, the battery management system (BMS) needs to be reset after replacing the battery. However, this can often be done without a diagnostic tool on many models.

First of all, thank you – under that term, I found a whole selection for Ford models.
I'm still waiting to see if the suspected starter battery is actually the problem, and I plan to replace it myself. If that doesn't work, we'll try the sequence for the "Nugget" first.

Hi there,
It seems the battery issue has been resolved. When someone tried to start the car in my presence, the starter motor ran briefly and then stopped.
