Unfortunately, it's about a Volkswagen Golf IV with a 75 horsepower gasoline engine (manufactured in 2002). Since the workshop doesn't know what else to do, I'm looking for your advice.
[If this is not desired, please delete this thread.]
The Golf has a long-life oil system, and it's consuming more than a liter of oil every 1000 km. After reading the error codes, the following errors were found:
Engine control unit (ECU)
6 errors found:
16645 - Injector valve, cylinder 1: Short circuit to positive (N30).
35-10 - - - Intermittent
16651 - Injector valve, cylinder 3, short circuit to positive (N32).
35-10 - - - Intermittent
16654 - Injector valve, cylinder 4: Short circuit to positive (N33).
35-10 - - - Intermittent
16648 - Injector valve, cylinder 2: Short circuit to positive (N31).
35-10 - - - Intermittent
17833 - Fuel tank ventilation valve interruption (N80)
35-10 - - - Intermittent
17525 - Bank1-Probe2: Heating circuit interruption.
35-10 - - - Intermittent
Thank you for your information, advice, and everything else.

Hello Pepe,
The error codes you're seeing (intermittent) are likely not directly related to your oil consumption. How many kilometers has the engine driven? Is it a 2002 model? Oil consumption of 1 liter is more indicative of a mechanical issue within the engine. What work has the workshop already done?
The year of manufacture being 2002 suggests this might be a warranty issue.
Best regards,
Christian.

It's not my car, but rather my girlfriend's... your mother's.
A new oil filter was installed at the workshop, which the mechanics claim has better ventilation. Nothing else was done. Oh, and one liter of oil was added, which, of course, wasn't covered by the warranty...
The car has only 23,000 km on the odometer, so it hasn't even had its first service yet.
The car needs to be driven until the next service, which is at 25,000 km, and then we can assess the situation further. It was promised that, if no cause for the oil leak is found, a replacement engine would be provided under warranty.

Sure, here is the translation of the text from German to English:

That's quite a bug-ridden system...
Okay, regarding the errors "...short circuit to positive...", I would start by checking the ground connection. Since this involves the control for the fuel injectors, please check the grounding strap between the chassis and the engine, as well as the transmission. Grounding issues are very common. If this error disappears, the other errors usually resolve themselves. Gruß Bertil

'@Bertil: That would make sense, you're right. 'Intermittent' means occurring sporadically or repeatedly, which is similar to a loose connection.'
I'll definitely check the wiring, thanks...

I'm having the same problem...
Volkswagen Golf IV, 75 horsepower, manufactured in 2000, with 30,000 kilometers (approximately 18,641 miles) on the odometer.
Oil consumption: approximately 1 liter per 1000 km.
My workshop says they can't find any fault and refers to the operating manual, which states that such consumption is 'normal'...
A friend of mine (a certified automotive mechanic) told me to be careful and make sure there's no engine damage.
Does anyone here have any ideas or experiences that might be helpful to me?
