Hello everyone,
I drive a Volkswagen Golf 3 Variant (station wagon), manufactured in 1999, with a 66 kW TDI engine and the following engine code: ALE.
The car has now reached almost 170,000 km without any problems. I would now like to replace the fuel injectors. Could someone tell me where I can get them at a reasonable price?
"Anyway, the injectors are from Bosch, and the price at Volkswagen is certainly lower than what we can offer."
Thank you very much.

Hi,
This might not be an answer to your question, but it could potentially save you money.
WHY do you want to replace the ESDs?
In my opinion, the mileage of 170,000 km alone is not a sufficient reason to spend so much money.

"I agree with you. At 170,000 km, the injectors shouldn't necessarily be bad yet. However, I suspect it because the engine is running a bit rough at idle. The injectors are also properly seated and not twisted. Otherwise, I'll just remove them and have the spray pattern checked by a Bosch service center. I also read in a post that the injectors may have different-sized holes. Is it possible to determine this from the injector part numbers? Aside from the deactivated EGR valve, the engine is still original. The performance is also okay. If the injectors are bad, I could even install slightly larger ones. A little more power wouldn't hurt. Also, the engine doesn't show any visible soot buildup, either at full throttle or at idle."

Hi,
To test the spray pattern, I would consider a different approach.
Sure, you might get more power or better performance with different nozzles. The threads by Ulf are very helpful in this regard.
It's quite an expensive undertaking!
