ECU Replacement: Is it Possible?

Hello!

I drive an Audi A6 2.5 TDI C4, manufactured in September 1995. The engine is a AAT (originally 115 hp).

Is it possible to use the engine control unit (ECU) from an AEL engine (originally 140 hp)?

The two control units (with different numbers) are almost identical except for the letter that distinguishes them.

AAT: 4A0 907 401 E
AEL: 4A0 907 401 P

Hello, I don't think that will work, as three different control units are being used. If all the ESP systems were identical, I would try it.
