Hello,
Can the community confirm that adding 1 liter of motor oil to 60 liters of diesel or biodiesel is beneficial for the engine (injectors, fuel pump, etc.) and does not have any negative consequences? (I have a 110 HP AFN engine with 130,000 km on it).
Regards,
Max the Elder.
I would leave that one alone. The motor oil has a high ash content and will burn.
This then deposits in the exhaust system. Particle filters become clogged with this ash! It's probably not good for the catalytic converter either.
I can't imagine any significant positive effects for components like pumps, nozzles, etc.
Best regards,
Albrecht.

If you're going to add oil, then use two-stroke oil. However, it significantly increases the cost of the fuel .
By the way, RME (rapeseed methyl ester) is supposed to have significantly better lubricating properties than sulfur-free diesel fuel. Therefore, using an oil additive is not really an issue in that case.
