Hello,

I just wanted to briefly share my experience with the DC LMM (mass airflow sensor), because I believe many AJM (or other engine code) owners are unsure whether they should install the DC LMM or the original VW (Bosch) LMM.

I've been using the DC LMM since yesterday and I'm very satisfied. I can't detect any difference compared to the original LMM.

Various posts have shown curves of the LMMs, but I believe the difference is only measurable, not noticeable.

Besides, the price is a huge factor. While you can find cheap Bosch mass airflow sensors on eBay, you often don't know where they come from!

Best regards,

Crissi.

Thank you, Crissi, for your report.
Some people are talking about a power loss of 10-15 horsepower. Will the top speed still be reached?
Best regards,
Alois.

I'm still using the AJM engine with the DC mass airflow sensor and I don't notice any difference compared to the original.
The maximum speed is also reached.
According to the speedometer, it was 205 km/h, and going downhill, it was even around 218 km/h in 6th gear. (There's still more to come! icon_lol.gif)

EDIT: For information: The odometer shows 110,438 km. However, a new engine was installed at 65,710 km. At that time, the replacement engine had 44,728 km on it.
The DC air mass sensor was approximately 4000 km old.
