Hi everyone,
This morning, while driving, the preheating light illuminated briefly (for less than half a second), and I felt a slight jolt in the car.
It happened after driving approximately 2 kilometers. It was in the second gear at around 2000 RPM. What could that be?
Best regards,
Chris. |

Hi.
The description provides almost no information that can be used to narrow down the source of the problem, mainly because it doesn't specify the make and model of the vehicle or the engine type.
And the current operating conditions would be important: Idle / Partial load / Full throttle...
The most reliable method would be to read the error codes from the vehicle's computer; remote diagnoses would likely be quite unreliable in this case. Gruß Ulf

Hello, in my opinion, it's too early for a diagnosis, and your information is too limited.
If I were you, I would continue to monitor the situation. If the jerking occurs again, I would recommend having the error memory read immediately.
If the jerking becomes more frequent and lasts longer, even to the point of the engine stalling for seconds or minutes, you should take a closer look at relay 109.
Initially, I noticed intermittent issues with the relays, characterized by brief interruptions that became more frequent and longer in duration (over a period of approximately 5000 km). This was likely due to cold solder joints at the relays. The error memory only contained garbage or, most often, nothing (relay 109 supplies power to the engine management system, among other things).
Best regards, Rainer. |

hi,
Furthermore, the car no longer reaches the specified top speed of 193 km/h. The speedometer, after a long run-up and without any wind, only reaches approximately 180 km/h. Also, the acceleration seems a bit slow for a 110 hp diesel, and the acceleration curve doesn't appear consistent; it decreases very sharply starting from 3500 rpm!

First, have the error memory read out.
