Hi.

Is there a specific reason why the lines from the diesel filter to the ESP (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) system are made of durable plastic?

There isn't much pressure, is there?

Can I replace "handelsueblich" with something else?

I need to remove the 1Z wiring (because an AFN cover is going on) and I don't want to spend 50 euros on the original AFN wiring.

Thank you.

Can the pipes not be bent with a heat gun? They have to be removed anyway, so it's not a big deal if they get slightly damaged.
There is no pressure in the lines, but rather a vacuum on the fuel supply... the fuel injection pump is drawing fuel through the hose... and there is only significant pressure on the return line to the tank if you put a cheap firework into the fuel filler neck. icon_rolleyes.gif

I hope your problem with these lines is now resolved?

Best regards, Rainer.

I'm already quiet icon_redface.gif.

The problem lies with the connectors on the ESP.

They are made of metal and are bent in a way that they jut forward and get in the way.

Then just cut off the metal pipes and attach a rubber hose with fabric reinforcement.

I would recommend replacing the hose every few years to prevent particles from detaching from the inside and entering the ESP (Electronic Stability Program).

'On my ALH and on my colleague's brand new ASV, they've used standard wiring. There's nothing more with those transparent plastic wires anymore...'
so, what's the point of worrying about it icon_wink.gif?

Well, at least the "set of fuel lines" for the G4 "only" costs 37 EUR (instead of 47 like it does for the G3).

I'll figure something out.

Nevertheless, thank you for the help icon_rolleyes.gif.
