'I have a Passat TD 35i, manufactured in 1992. My problem is that the temperature gauge shows much too low a reading. Since both the sensor and the gauge are working, I would like to know the technical data of the system. The sensor has a resistance of approximately 1400 ohms at 12 degrees Celsius, and about 300 ohms when the engine is warm. Is that okay? The temperature gauge shows 70 degrees at a resistance of 100 ohms, and 105 degrees at a resistance of 65 ohms. Does anyone know more?'
Furthermore, the fuel gauge is showing a reading that is much too high (but it's not due to the voltage stabilizer, as it's providing approximately 10 volts).
