Hello diesel enthusiasts!

'On my Golf 3 TDI, manufactured in June 1997, with the AFN engine and 81 kW of power,...'
Two spark plugs failed. You still look pretty good.
but with high impedance. BERU spark plugs (model number 0 100 226 227) are installed, with a thread size of 10mm.
Now I'm looking for the correct part number.
Since I would like to order the candles online. I have two sizes.
I figured them out, but I'm not sure which ones are correct now.

- Bosch Duratherm 0 250 202 022
- Bosch Duratherm 0 250 202 046

Were there any year-specific issues with the AFN?
different spark plugs were used, or are the larger ones intended for...?
Coolant preheating?

Thank you in advance.

"...who uses the search function is the king..."

Okay, I'm ready. Please provide the German text you want me to translate.

And the information about the spark plugs:

http://www.dieselsend.de/info0250201045.shtml --- Those should be the glow plugs.
http://www.dieselsend.de/info0250201022.shtml --- These are for the auxiliary heater.

I checked the link.
After that, those size 0 250 202 045 shoes probably won't fit me at all.
(compatible with Alfa, Citroen, and Fiat)
'However, those numbers (0 250 202 022) cannot be correct either, because they are a...'
Have a 12-thread pattern.
I'm still very unsure about that.

Hi,

I also replaced a glow plug on my Audi, VW, or Skoda today.
I installed a Bosch Duratherm 0 250 202 022. My car is from the model year 1997. I believe your questions have now been answered.

Best regards, Andy.

icon_redface.gif Sorry, my mistake, wrong link icon_redface.gif:

http://www.dieselsend.de/infoherzog022.shtml -- this is for your AFN.

The link above was for the 0 250 201 022, which is definitely not correct!!

Thank you very much!

Okay, then I'll order one. Although he was actually also...
Starts without preheating. Seriously, I actually tried it once, with the socks pulled down.
Candle warmer, -14°C in the morning!!! After about 5 seconds, it was there! - Yep, a TDI.
Well, but it's definitely not good for the engine:-?.

Okay, so...
Thank you & Best regards.

Hello,
Approximately a year ago, I replaced all four Bosch glow plugs (part number 0 250 202 022) in my Audi/Volkswagen (Passat, manufactured in 4/96, 110 hp, 140,000 km) with four Bosch glow plugs (part number 0 250 202 046). I don't have any problems with that.
Bye.
Max.
