Hi, I've already looked at the Webasto website, but I couldn't find anything there.
My friend told me that only certain auxiliary heaters fit in the 110kW TDI (probably due to space constraints). Does anyone have a list or information about which models are compatible? What type of heater would that be?

Sure, thanks for the tip.
I'm also looking for some 'insider tips' because I didn't just want to gather some sales information. Otherwise, I wouldn't have asked Dieselschrauber.de icon_rolleyes.gif.

Perhaps I can also find older models that I can purchase on eBay, etc.

guy...

What do you think the purpose of the hotline at Webasto is?

That's exactly the kind of question I'm here for.
Which heater is suitable for my car?
What parts do I need for this?

If you call them (or send them an email), you'll find that they provide competent information without immediately trying to sell you a heating system.
They even call you back just to tell you how much power the FFB receiver consumes.

@jcee
I can't tell you exactly which auxiliary heater fits your vehicle model, but it might also be possible to modify a heater to fit. In that case, you would have to build some of the angles and brackets yourself. I didn't have any problems with the installation (in my Audi 80), although there is naturally more space icon_smile.gif. I installed a TermoTop S (from eBay).
You should be aware that heaters with a separate fuel pump may require less space. However, the pump must then be installed close to the fuel tank. In my case, I had to tap into the supply line, not the return line.

Hi,
Webasto also offers heaters where you can separate the water pump from the actual heating unit. This might be useful in certain situations.
On the other hand, the connections at Eberspächer and Webasto are generally somewhat different.
Will they really recommend a competitor's product to you if you have installation problems with a Webasto product?
If the installation instructions become too extensive, I would suggest asking elsewhere.
I would have had an easier time with the Eberspächer system in my car, although I am otherwise satisfied with the Webasto heating system.

Thank you for the answers...

'That's what I mean. Someone once told me that not all diesel heaters fit in the 110kW diesel engine bay (due to space constraints). I'm also open to considering other brands, like Eberspacher. I just wanted to get a little more information before I spend my money on eBay.'

Hello,

Today, I had a Webasto auxiliary heating system installed in my Bora TDI 110kw (engine code ARL) diesel.

It is a Thermo TOP E with a timer (model 1533) that has 3 time settings.

The Bosch service required one working day to install it.

The price for the STH with pre-selection dial and installation is €1300!
