Compelling arguments include cleaner engine performance and improved turbocharger response.

Lately, a lot of things have been seeming blue to me.
city, money, car, tires, eBay, parts, etc.

Well...

Okay. The "voluntary donation campaign" turned out to be a complete disaster (to be honest, I didn't expect anything different, but I was told it would work...).
Except for one instance where I didn't expect it, exactly 10 euros (ten) have been received in the last 2 months.

There they were again, my 3 problems (quote from the movie 'Otto'). icon_lol.gif

If you have a problem with the advertising links, you don't have to click on them. We've already discussed the topic of "subscriptions" before, and it was rejected at that time.

I just remembered something: Advertising links should only be for guests. Most of the visitors just consume content and don't contribute anything, but they still generate a lot of traffic.

icon_mrgreen.gif Great idea, I'll implement it right away: double the amount of advertising for Nix-Sager, and no more advertising text links for registered users...

New point: now there is a simplified version of dieselschrauber.de, specifically optimized for mobile devices such as cell phones, PDAs, etc. http://mobile.dieselschrauber.de/
Sure, here's the translation:

"This should be enough for reference."

Best regards, Rainer.

It doesn't bother me.

The website is unique in the German-speaking world, and the savings you can achieve through self-help when it comes to money don't need to be explained to someone like me.

How about selling "Diesel Mechanic Stars" to underprivileged people, for example, at a price of 10 euros per star?

That's probably going to add up to a significant amount.

Sure, here's the translation:

"Best regards."

Hi Rainer,

That reminds me of something I've been wanting to do for a long time... check your account in a few days; the total of 10 euros should have doubled.

I think the mobile access feature is very useful because I've often been in boring meetings and would have liked to check my PDA to see if there were any interesting updates, but it's been quite cumbersome so far to scroll in two directions at the same time.

Best regards,

Jan.

Hello,

Somehow, I can't find the link 'Here you can thank us' anymore, which used to be on the page /donation.php, but luckily, it's still in my memory. Did you delete it on purpose, or am I just too blind to find it again?

The transfer had been planned for a long time, but somehow it was forgotten again. Thank you for the reminder!

How about this option: Ad-free for everyone who has paid, and for our regular users (the 'stars')? Therefore, people with specialized knowledge would not be 'forced' to pay, and everyone else could opt out of advertising if they were interested.

Regards,
-Private, with no star rating, and therefore pays promptly icon_smile.gif.

Hi,

I also searched for a while to find the link... it's now located under "Community Info, Quiz, and Imprint."

Best regards,

Jan.

I'd also like to donate 10 euros.

Why should anyone do all that administrative work for free, essentially working for God?

Please send me the BIC and IBAN codes so I can make a transfer from Oesitanien. *g*

Hey, that wasn't a request to transfer money icon_lol.gif.
No one understands me... new_cry.gif

I mean, the people who are supposed to enrich the forum with good contributions shouldn't have to pay anything!

I don't know if my contributions are always that good! icon_smile.gif But I've saved a lot of money, and that's why I'm happy to give!

I feel exactly the same way! Whether the content is good or not, how about setting up a recurring donation? I mean, if every diesel mechanic who is a hardcore user contributes monthly...
'Contributing 50 cents, or even 1 euro, via a recurring payment to the forum would be great. Rainer.K might get lost in the transaction history depending on the number of contributors, but for each individual, it would be a small amount (much less than a 'drag race' or 'burnout,' which would be like an annual membership fee)!' I think it's really good!

Okay, gentlemen, I'd appreciate a little more enthusiasm on this topic!

@Rainer K.
Wouldn't it be possible to set up an anonymous voting system with the options: 'Yes, I would be willing to pay a small monthly fee for an ad-free forum' and 'No, I prefer to live with pop-ups and similar annoyances'? The goal isn't to make money from the forum, and there are already a few users, like Ulf and Michael II, who contribute through expert articles (excluding them). I would definitely prefer the forum to be ad-free. This is, of course, entirely voluntary and does not obligate anyone in any way.

Let it be, Marco icon_smile.gif.

Is this okay the way it is now? Those who don't register will just have to deal with the advertising links.
And pop-ups annoy me so much that I wouldn't even consider using them.

Best regards, Rainer.

Hello,

Here's an update on the status of the websites.

Unfortunately, it is foreseeable that my current employment will end soon, so I have decided to start an online shop for automotive diagnostic systems as a side business.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all of our previous donors.

Only time will tell what the future holds for these pages. If the online shop doesn't work out, we'll just turn the pages into a private homepage again.

Best regards, Rainer.
