hello
I have a B4 TDI, the first version (182 Nm). Unfortunately, I want a bit more power (although chipping hasn't helped so far, but let's not dwell on that). It's also said that larger fuel injectors won't work with my engine. Our local Bosch technician once mentioned that a larger pump element might help, but he didn't elaborate because there are supposed to be some side effects. Does anyone know how much power that would add, what side effects occur, and what the impact on fuel consumption would be? Has anyone here mechanically tuned a TDI before, and do you have any tips for me?
best regards, christian

Hello,
A larger piston in the ESP is expensive and complex. Normally, you don't need that to tune the engine to the point where it breaks down .
Best regards, Rainer.

hello
"I would like to do something different, but what? Are there any nozzles available with sizes between 0.184 and 0.205? I read in the forum that nozzles with a size of 0.205 might be too much for my engine. Regarding the pistons, does anyone know how much they cost? Are there different piston sizes available, perhaps larger ones than the original ones? If you choose the right size, the effects shouldn't be any worse than, say, using 10-cent fuel or doing nozzle tuning, right? There must be ways to make this thing more powerful, at least enough so that I'm not overtaken by Golf 2s with 75 horsepower anymore. I'm grateful for any tips."
best regards, christian
