Car Alarm System for Audi A6 C4

Hello TDI community,

I have an A6 C4 TDI and I want to install the Waeco remote control for the central locking system. There's the MT150 model available for Audis with and without the alarm system (DWA). How can I find out if my Audi has the alarm system or not?

As with any DWA (German water and wastewater association) event: Simulate a breakdown!

Lower the window, properly lock the vehicle (using the remote control or with the key), then wait for a defined amount of time (at least 30 seconds, preferably a full minute), and then unlock the vehicle from the inside through the window (do not use the key from the outside, but unlock it from the inside).

Then open the door. If the DWA starts, then you have one, otherwise not .

wenn Du den Wagen versperrst, dann fängt die Kontrolleuchte der Heckscheibenheizung (? oder eine andere) einige Male hintereinander schnell ROT zu blinken an und dann so alle 5-10 Sekunden. Außerdem wird das Verschließen des Fahrzeugs mit einem Hupton quittiert (ist zumindest beim 94er Audi 100 C4 meiner Mutter so, in den ich übrigens auch die MT150 eingebaut habe).
