Despite that, I'm still curious about which part of Germany MTH is actually located in.

Is MTH = Motoren Technik Hölzel?

Motoren Technik Hözl is located in Rodenbach near Hanau and is a key supplier to B&B, SKIBA, and a handful of other well-known tuning companies. Even a company in Kempten had to rely on their services in the early days of TDI tuning.

That's exactly what I was referring to. I'd like to know how their prices compare and what their warranty terms are. It seems like they also cater to "end customers," if I understand correctly.

Price is negotiable, but not cheap. I had free re-tuning and refunds. I now have my 3rd TDI with an MTH chip. They all work very well, and I've never had any problems with them. I sold my first one (an Audi 80 from 1990, chipped to 136 hp) to a delivery driver, and it now has 428,000 kilometers on it with the original engine and transmission.
