Hello,

'My daughter pulled on the door handle recently, just as I was about to open the doors with the remote control. Since then, the right-hand door hasn't opened. This problem has occurred several times before and usually resolves itself after a few days, but unfortunately, it hasn't happened yet this time. Is this a normal occurrence? If there's no easy fix, how can I access the mechanism with the door closed?'

Thank you, Edgar.

What kind of car is it? icon_question.gif
I still assume that an attempt was made to open the vehicle from the inside, including pulling on the door latch, correct?

Regards,
Hermann.

hi,

A 1998 Volkswagen Golf Estate (Variant) TDI with 90 horsepower.
To be more precise: the pin goes up and down, but the door remains locked. Even when you turn the handle from the inside, the pin still moves up... as described above.

Edgar.

Help, help!

VW technicians are referring to an exposed rod that can only be adjusted by removing the door panel, which, however, requires the door to be open icon_confused.gif.
You probably have to destroy the casing then. icon_cry.gif - or is there a diagram of the frame somewhere, so that maybe a (small) hole would be enough?

Thank you, Edgar.
