Audi/VW Navigation Computer with G4 Kombi (Fis)

Hi,

I installed a Golf 4 instrument cluster in my Golf 3, and I'm now considering buying the navigation computer for the FIS (Multi-Function Display). My question is: Does the navigation system use the CAN bus, or are there different versions? I have an instrument cluster without CAN bus, but it has a navigation connector, so there must be navigation systems that don't rely on the CAN bus, right? Are the VW and Audi models compatible with both vehicles? (Are they all from Blaupunkt?)

Okay, I received further assistance in another forum, and it seems that the audio device is not compatible with the VW devices, which is a shame.
