Hello,
I bought a Ford Transit van, diesel engine, 2.5 liters.
When I tried to start it, I couldn't find anything to use for preheating.
It also took a while for it to start.
After that, I wanted to look for the spark plugs, but apparently, it doesn't have any.
Maybe someone has a Transit van. Is it really not possible to pre-heat it?

What does the salesperson say is the reason why the car is difficult to start?
Why did you buy the car like that?

@ tdiseppl:
Don't worry, because this is perfectly normal for transit buses.
Take a closer look at the intake manifold, and you'll be able to recognize something that resembles a "flamethrower."
In the Transit, a preheating system was not installed in the individual cylinder chambers, but rather a central intake air preheating system in the intake manifold.
As far as I can remember, there's a small burner there that runs on diesel fuel. Perhaps the ignition system for this "flamethrower" is faulty on yours, which could explain why it's not starting properly.
Anyway, I don't think this central system is actually that bad. It just needs to be more accessible than individual spark plugs.
Take a closer look at your engine and tell us about your findings (pictures?).

Does he really have a lit candle?
Well... the usual suspects. First, check the glow plug electrically, and then, of course, make sure it's also getting diesel when starting the engine.
Typically, it is supplied with fuel by a fuel feed pump via a solenoid valve.
It's possible that it's just dirty; there's a filter inside.

Hello, and welcome to a discussion about startup difficulties in the transit industry.
It has a disastrous relay system mounted on the front right longitudinal member, which is exposed to the elements without adequate insulation and therefore corrodes easily.
If you need an exam guide, I have one somewhere.
You can actually get the glow plug ignition system to work when the glow plug is removed – the heating element glows, the injector sprays, and a small, shallow pilot flame emerges. If the test is successful and the timing and compression are okay, it should actually start.
Greetings.
