Hello!

Here's the translation:

"This is about my Volkswagen Golf 3 GT, with the AFN engine (81 kW), manufactured in 1997, model year 1998, and it's in its original condition."
No chip tuning, mileage 120,000 km, climate control, I've owned it for 2 years, regular servicing, and it has been almost trouble-free so far.

However, last summer, in August, the engine failed within 3 weeks.
Twice it went into emergency mode (during a vacation trip to Italy).

The first time, the outside temperature was 38 degrees Celsius, and it had been preceded by a long drive.
"On the highway, driving at a low load (approximately 120 km/h, drafting behind another vehicle, air conditioning on, oil temperature not exceeding 100 degrees)."
Then the gradient was approximately 5%, at the time it happened.

On the second attempt, the outside temperature was approximately 28 degrees Celsius, and there was traffic congestion before the toll booth, causing a delay of about 10 minutes.
Stop-and-go driving with idling, then starting and moderate acceleration.
Slope, when it happened again.

Since then, I have never been able to trigger the emergency stop again.
The engine doesn't produce excessive smoke (but there are very noticeable plumes of smoke visible at the rear, especially in darkness).
The performance is good, and the power delivery is smooth.
The consumption is absolutely excellent.
No biodiesel used, EGR system is functioning normally, and there have been no recent issues during vehicle inspections.

The only other unusual symptom with the engine is that it runs particularly...
It doesn't start up as readily when it's warm as I would expect from other [vehicles/machines].
I'm familiar with TDIs. Most of them are four-cylinder engines, although I've occasionally worked on others as well.
Okay, here's the translation:

"Sometimes it takes two start attempts (especially if restarting shortly after turning it off). I would also appreciate a faster build-up of boost pressure."

My workshop is not competent. I realize that I need to provide more information.
might require (VAG-COM, LDA, etc.), but perhaps someone can diagnose the issue based on the described circumstances.
a guess.
If not, then it's also fine to simply not respond – I understand.
Sure, I know what I have to do.

Greetings, Klaus.

Sorry, I forgot the most important thing:
Error memory was:
Intake manifold pressure, control differential.

The actuator diagnosis did not reveal any further errors.

Greetings, Klaus.
