Hello,

In the log of my engine, the start of injection (which is the start of fuel injection in PD engines, group 004, block 2) appears with a negative sign compared to the AFN and ALH engines. icon_eek.gif icon_question.gif

At 1900 rpm and 25% throttle, the reading is "-3.7". During the subsequent acceleration, the absolute value increases to "-21.7" at just under 4000 rpm.

Reading this from the perspective of the VP-Logs, the start of the boost is shifted later rather than earlier, with increasing load and speed. icon_question.gif icon_question.gif

Is this reverse counting method in the PD-Logs normal, or do I have a bug somewhere in the system?

hi,
For me, it just makes sense.
The injection starts before the top dead center (TDC) and is negative.
greetings

PS: But maybe the performance is lacking there.
because your engine injects fuel after top dead center icon_eek.gif.

Hmm, but being about 40° out of phase (20 degrees after top dead center instead of before) likely costs more than just 20 horsepower (if we're being generous -> 134 horsepower according to the DZR instead of the 154 that are theoretically possible with extreme positive variation in the air-standard cycle)?
