I found some EEPROM programmers with accompanying software on eBay. Supposedly, this tool allows you to adjust maps yourself and burn them onto EEPROMs. Has anyone had any experience with something like that? It sounds like a fun toy, right?

My advice: Stay away from it!

1) The field programming software won't help you because it can only process data up to 256KB. The data from the MSG chips is larger.
