I don't know how it works with Audi. Does the car have a fossil fuel auxiliary heater, meaning one powered by diesel? With Mercedes, you could upgrade it to a standing heater. It involved installing a few parts, possibly a circulation pump, a relay, a wiring harness, and a silencer for the heater unit. Auxiliary heaters don't have a silencer because the engine noise drowns out the heater noise. However, when the heater runs while the engine is off, it can be quite loud without a silencer. They didn't need a separate pump because one is already included for the auxiliary heater. You should check with Audi. With Mercedes, the upgrade kit cost around 500 German marks. Oh, and of course, you also need a timer to program it.
