Fall Detection Display

Hello everyone,
I have recently experienced more frequent and intermittent failures of the TT's gait display. Even when the ignition is turned on, all the gear symbols are displayed in black, instead of just the one corresponding to the currently selected gear. In addition, there are two other failures:
1) No gear display when the gear lever is in the 'shift position'.
2) no display of mileage until the next service, but only a 'Service' indicator light.
The Friendly has read out the error codes from the fault memory.

What does this friendly expression mean? Is it just a loose connector or a faulty STG?
I have another date with the mechanic on Wednesday, and I don't want to get into any financial trouble. Could someone please enlighten me a bit?
