Hello
I've heard about this irregular knocking sound, hammering on a cylinder, on my 1Z engine. It's especially noticeable under load, and what's strange is that the sound gets louder as the engine block gets colder. At -10 degrees in the winter, I think it will just fall right out of the air, and then when it's back to operating temperature, it's almost completely gone (you really have to listen carefully).
I have already replaced all 4 nozzles with new ones and, last time, I also replaced all 4 pressure-regulating valves on the pump with new ones, but nothing works; it remains stuck when hammering. The idle flow rate is 6mg, from which I conclude that the pump is not worn out, and it also starts up immediately without any problems. The rest periods regulation sometimes shows slightly different values, but during the next measurement trip, they will be normal again.
I'm slowly running out of ideas. The hydros shouldn't really be the problem, because if there's a fault, they should just click and not be dependent on load, or am I wrong?
What else could it be?
Greetings
