Injector Nozzle Size 1Z: Diameter Guide

Hello everyone,

I recently bought a 1Z engine as a donor for parts for my own car. When I was removing the fuel injectors, I noticed that they look different from the ones in my engine; they are slightly shorter.
They also have a different injection pressure, namely 246 bar. The ones I currently have only have 190 bar! I have now searched through all of your posts, but I haven't found any information about what hole diameter these 246 bar nozzles have.
For your information, the part number is: 028 130 201.
On the Bosch website, I can only find information about the injection pressure, not about the hole diameter. If it helps, these injectors were used until 8/92.
I'm hoping for your answers, and that I can give my rather sluggish Audi B4 Avant a bit more power with these injectors. Of course, with further modifications!

That sounds like it might be a combination of single-feather and nozzle holders.
It is likely that the two-stage injection system was only introduced as part of further development and stricter emissions regulations.
The opening pressure you mentioned, 246 bar, also falls between the pressures of the first and second stages in the two-spring nozzle holder combinations.

As I mentioned before, these are just my assumptions and not confirmed information.

It is a single nozzle made of feathers.
To my knowledge, these were only installed until June 1992.

The most important thing is what comes after the letters!

There are many different nozzles available for the VW Golf 3.

Therefore, please always include the letters in question.

Another afterthought .

There were also instances of '028 130 201' without anything following it. It originated towards the end of the last millennium.
The spare parts catalog is no longer in print, but can still be obtained through the 'Classic Parts Service.'

At the end of the JT process, I had nozzles spraying into the swirl chambers.
