Today is one of those days when it's best not to get up at all!

First, the Bosch service charges €170 so that I can definitively know that my pump is broken, then I remove a screw from the cylinder head, which I finally manage to remove after 2 hours, while I was trying to refute the diagnosis!

And then this stupid thermal insulation falls into this gap!

The search for the thermal seal failed! icon_sad.gif Is there any possibility that the thermal insulation ring could fall into the timing belt drive from there, or am I just unnecessarily worried?

Greetings

Manuel

Hi,

I've experienced this myself.
The sheet is not closed for the belt drive, so your only option is to remove the sealing ring. I removed the upper ZR cover and used a wire to poke around in the gap. It was a struggle, but eventually I got it out.

Good luck,

I have already done that. I have pushed wire into every visible corner and through every opening I could find. The poetry seems to be gone??????????

I've already driven 40km today without any problems. I think I might have lost you along the way. If the engine is still cold, I will remove the timing belt cover again and check.

Otherwise, I would have to remove the timing belt and the gears in order to get the separating plate out.

Greetings

Manuel
