I have seen and heard several times that it is possible to reprogram the control unit of a Golf 4 (G4) in such a way that you can use the key fob to open and close the windows and sunroof.
Unfortunately, the only thread with some information on this topic has been closed.

The question remains: what do you actually need to do this? Can this still be done with VAGCOM itself, or do you have to go to an authorized dealer? Are they officially allowed to unlock the function, or is it only permitted for export, and do they only do it for 'good customers'?

Perhaps someone has more detailed information.

My colleague doesn't drive a Golf at all; he drives a Touran. It fits perfectly in there.

I just visited a trusted dealer and ordered rubber floor mats for my new G4. I asked about the compatibility, and he said that while they weren't standard equipment on the 2005 model year (produced after 05/2004), it shouldn't be a problem.
The rubber mats will arrive tomorrow, and then they want to start programming.

With my circuit , it always works wirelessly, and only when you want it to.
