Hello,

I own a Voyager 2.5-liter turbo diesel, manufactured in 1993.

I'm having a problem with the car; it has a serious issue.
In the morning, when starting.
I've already checked everything, just the obvious things. New spark plugs, diesel filter.
The glow plugs are receiving power and are working correctly.

It still won't start properly. You have to crank the engine for a very long time before the car starts.
After that, it starts up without any problems throughout the entire day.
as long as there aren't excessively long periods of inactivity between them.
I've already received the tip that a crack in the diesel line could be the problem.
triggers the problem.
I installed a clear hose in the line.
Not a single air bubble; the fuel line is always completely full of diesel.
*whine* Guys, I don't know what to do anymore.

I've also acquired various reference books and CDs, but nowhere does it mention anything about...
It has a 2.5-liter turbo diesel engine. Everything is there, except for the diesel engine itself or the Bosch fuel injection system.

My guess is that one of the three funny-looking attachments on the fuel injection system is related to the storm supply.
It could be that this is causing the startup problems.
But replacing all of these parts will cost...
As far as I know, Chrysler is worth a fortune.

Now, my request:
Does anyone happen to have a paper or dissertation about diesel engines, including the fuel injection system?
(I don't even want to hope) for a troubleshooting plan that he could help me with. That would be amazing.
I don't expect to receive the plans for free; I'd also like to contribute to the costs (copies, burning CDs).

I would be very grateful for a response.

Thank you in advance for your effort and for reading.

Well, that sounds like a serious issue with the ESP system not being properly calibrated. Could you tell me what model it is (which Bosch system)? I think your problem can be fixed with a new calibration. However, I can't tell you exactly how to do it; you'll have to wait for the experts to come and take a look.

Hm, wasn't anything done to the timing belt before? It's possible that the camshaft timing or injection timing is incorrect! As a test, when the engine won't start, you can try disconnecting the fuel injector and see if very little diesel sprays out. My question is, if the engine starts, does black or bluish-white smoke come out of the exhaust?

I'm having the exact same problem.
When I start the engine, I get white smoke, and then when it slowly starts up, it turns a dark color.
