Hello, first of all, I'd like to greet everyone, as this is my first post here.
I'm planning to transplant the AFN engine from a wrecked Audi A4 into my Audi 80.
Questions:
Are the blocks still identical? Therefore, I could use the Audi 80 brackets, and the B4 transmission would also fit.
My current car has a gasoline engine... how does the fuel tank situation work? In the T89, the tank is located behind the rear seat, and I have an external fuel pump, currently with a KE Jetronic system. I haven't been able to check yet (because I would have to cut away the roof to get inside without causing any orthopedic damage) whether the A4 has an internal fuel pump.
That's pretty much it for now.
Greetings.
Bushido.

And once again, the search function brought up this legendary (deterrent) page:

Good morning.
Thanks for the tip, but I'm already familiar with that website. Okay, I missed the part about the flywheel not fitting. But since he already has a TDI engine, the issue with the fuel tank doesn't apply.
I also don't understand why it takes him three days for the electrical work... He's completely removing the old wiring harness and installing a new one... but hopefully, that won't be the reason for any problems.
