ABS Error Troubleshooting: Find the Cause (Solution)

If you are currently experiencing seemingly inexplicable ABS errors, specifically with the ABS warning light illuminating after starting the vehicle, you should carefully inspect the fuses of the ABS hydraulic unit. This fuse, typically rated at 30A, can oxidize due to its exposed location in the engine compartment, creating resistance. While a simple voltage measurement during troubleshooting will show the full value, under load during the pump's self-test, this resistance becomes significant, and the hydraulic unit is then reported as defective.

Depending on the vehicle, these fuses are either screw-type fuses or plug-in fuses and are housed in separate enclosures in the engine compartment or above the vehicle's battery.
