Hello.

'Since it's gotten colder in the last few days, my car has been very difficult to start and it's been smoking quite a bit. This likely indicates a problem with the glow plug system.' First, I wanted to check the glow plug fuse.
However, it is not located on the splash guard above the brake booster, as indicated in the instruction manual.
Where is she, actually?

On my 1997 G3 AFN, the bracket was clipped to the top edge of the main electrical unit (above all the relays) -> which was incredibly annoying...

The fuse itself was an oversized flat-pin fuse.

Evening.

Here's the picture; the red/pink thing is in the upper right corner. The relay and the fuse (strip fuse) for the glow plugs of the water circulation system are located on the injection molding wall.

Best regards, Robert.

Most of the time, it's the glow plugs icon_wink.gif. A blown fuse would be too simple and too cheap.
With the Golf III, it's still manageable to change things, but with the Golf II, I almost went for the big one.
