Glow plug control

What are the possible causes for the indicator light to blink?

Is there a general list for this? The repair manual doesn't mention it, and I haven't found anything about it here either. Specifically: The engine was warm and running, the turn signal was on, the brake was pressed, and the car was stationary for a few minutes, at which point the warning light illuminated for about 1 minute. I don't have the ability to read the error codes.

Volkswagen Golf 3 1Z, manufactured in 1994, 270,000 km mileage, with a chip (tuning).

According to the operating manual, a fault has occurred and been stored in the control unit when the indicator light is flashing. In my old 1Z model, I frequently encountered this error while idling, where the monitoring of the brake pedal sensors (there are two, which must trigger identically) caused an error message. The light would then turn off with the next press of the brake pedal.
--> Have the error codes read out at a reputable mechanic (it should be free of charge, but there are also some dishonest ones).

It could actually be related to the brakes; I'll have the error memory checked.
