I'm planning to buy a new car and have narrowed it down to two models. One is a Golf III Variant TDI with 110 horsepower, and...
the Audi 80 Avant TDI with 90 horsepower.
IMO, the Golf only offers the advantage of a more powerful engine. Since I'll likely only be able to get the Audi with high mileage due to its age, I'm now wondering if I could install the 110 hp VW engine into the Audi in case of an engine failure.
Is this technically or legally possible? Perhaps someone has already thought about this before, or has heard something about it.
What are your thoughts on the two models? Are there any significant advantages or disadvantages of one compared to the other?
Thank you in advance.
Tito (Mc Gimmick, seems like there's another Tito here).
P.S. This is a report about the installation of an A4 TDI engine (engine code: AFN) into an Audi 80 (B4) manufactured in 1993, and the difficulties encountered during the process.
