Hi,

Does the timer switch the air conditioning system on at 3 PM, and is it also receiving power at that time?

The problem is that as soon as the heating comes on, the alarm system goes off.
However, the issue is not due to a voltage drop; the monitoring is disabled, but unfortunately, the monitoring function labeled '15' cannot be deactivated.

How could this be solved?

Hello,

I don't think that the entire terminal 15 is activated when the auxiliary heater is turned on. That would mean that the radio, the rear window heater (if still on), and other consumers would be turned on icon_exclaim.gificon_question.gif.

Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with SH systems. Assuming that's the case, terminal 15 is activated to turn on the ventilation, correct? Couldn't this be solved in a different way than activating the entire terminal 15?

If necessary, you might have to manually disable the Class 15 monitoring by grounding the monitoring circuit. Just a theoretical idea.

Best regards,
Mathias.

The problem is that if circuit 15 fails (for example, if you were working on the middle relay), an alarm would be triggered.
Unfortunately, the monitoring cannot be disabled... neither in InPro, Gemini, nor in Viper.

The problem is that if Kl.15 fails (e.g., if the middle separating relay were to malfunction), an alarm would be triggered.

icon_question.gif Terminal 15 is connected to ground (i.e., at a low voltage) when you turn off your car icon_question.gif.

If that were the case, an alarm would be triggered if a voltage of 15 + 12V was detected with the central locking system closed, right?

Best regards,
Mathias.

Hi,

Which alarm system? Climatronic or manual air conditioning?

gemini 7057 US...climatronic...

Yes, you're absolutely right...

Okay, so we're talking about two relays... one connects terminal 15 to ground, and the other connects the ignition relay (IRü) to ground. It needs to be activated by a signal coming from the SH unit to terminal D5 (or whatever the pin is called on the climate control unit)... what voltage is that signal? Is it 5V?

Connect pin 1 to ground and pin 1 to ground, it only needs to be activated by the signal from the SH to pin D5 (or what is the name of the pin on the climate control?)...

Hello,

I can't make sense of the information you're providing! Why does the auxiliary heater ground terminal 15? With the ignition switched off, terminal 15 should be grounded.

Or am I completely wrong?

At 3:00 PM icon_arrow.gif Ignition, switching plus... icon_exclaim.gif
SH icon_arrow.gif Auxiliary heater icon_question.gif
IRü icon_arrow.gif Interior monitoring icon_question.gif

See you tomorrow...
Mathias.

Hi,

Can you also tell me which auxiliary heater you have? How long have you been experiencing this problem? Did you install the auxiliary heater yourself?

By the way: As far as I know, terminal 15 is not actively connected to anything in Webastos. (If you can provide a few more details, I'll take a look. I don't want to dig through the documentation for just a few minor things. It's better to do it right once, so you can actually use the information.)

Speculation: If you have a Webasto auxiliary heater, the timer only activates the auxiliary heater, and the auxiliary heater then activates the Climatronic system.

Sure, here's the translation:

'Again, the whole thing...'
It's a Webasto Thermo Top P and a Climatronic system.
The alarm system activates when the SH is turned on via the timer/fire alarm control panel.
Interestingly, the clock works almost immediately, but the FFB (presumably a function related to the climate control) only starts working once the climate control panel begins to light up.

The alarm system has Class 15 monitoring and interior (ultrasonic) sensors.

The SH (presumably a sensor or component) sends a signal to the climate control unit, which then apparently draws power from or supplies power to circuit 15, because circuit 15 is always the circuit that triggers the alarm.

It means I would need to control two relays based on the signal coming from the SH (likely a sensor or control unit) to the climate control panel. One relay would either connect the power supply (line 15) of the alarm system directly to ground or leave it open. The second relay would disconnect the line going to the IR receiver module of the alarm system, preventing it from triggering.

I cannot permanently disable the zone 15 circuit of the alarm system because a) the deactivation function relies on it, and b) the system would no longer be able to be armed if it hasn't received a signal for zone 15 at least 1 hour before being armed.

I need to check with the IRÜ system to see if it triggers an alarm (attempted sabotage) when the module is essentially shut down during the armed state.

Hi,

I'm not familiar with the Thermotop P, unfortunately. However, I assume that the electrical control of the Thermotop P is not different from that of the Thermotop E or C.
Okay, so let me explain how it works in my Thermotop E (I also have the Climatronic).

What kind of car do you have? The wire colors and gauges are important. The wire colors and gauges in the text below apply to the Golf IV manufactured after 2001 (possibly also before).

So:

1.) Climatronic with auxiliary heating program: No power is coming in or going out from terminal 15! This only happens with the manual blower or with a Climatronic system without the auxiliary heating program.

2.) Climatronic without auxiliary heating function:
a) Original state: Coming from terminal 15, there is a fuse, followed by a black/yellow cable with a cross-sectional area of 2.5 mm² that leads to the blower motor.
b) When installing the auxiliary heater (SH), you need to cut this black/white cable (approximately 50mm before the blower motor connector). From the fuse, connect to terminal 87a of the SH blower relay. From terminal 30 of the SH blower relay, connect to the blower motor. Terminal 87 of the relay connects to terminal 30 in the fuse box. I suspect that you don't have an auxiliary heater program (and therefore had to install a voltage regulator, set to 2V), and that you forgot to disconnect the wire between the fuse and the blower motor and instead connect it through the auxiliary heater's blower relay.

Are you from near Stuttgart? If so: The problem can be found much faster on-site than through forum posts. (But only if you write a "final report" for the forum!)

I'm assuming that the vehicle has an SH program.
As far as I know, there was only one cable running from the SH (presumably a sensor or device) to the climate control unit.
It's a 2002 Audi A6.

Hi,

Only one line can be connected to the climate control unit.

Please check what I wrote in my previous post.

If your auxiliary heater is connected to terminal 15 in any way, then the standard cable that runs from the car's fuse box to the fan motor must be cut, and the auxiliary heater's fan relay must be inserted. (In this case, your air conditioning system either won't have an auxiliary heater program, or the installer wasn't aware that the air conditioning system has such a program.)

Where is your SH (likely referring to a sensor or device) connected to terminal 15? Please trace the wiring and let me know the result.
