Hello,
It's about engine testing on a dynamometer.
The test engine is a natural gas engine based on a VW 1.9 TDI (AGR) and features direct natural gas injection.
I am looking for an alternative engine control unit (ECU) to control the natural gas injectors (similar to a diesel common-rail system). The aim is to obtain the speed and other signals, if possible, from the sensors already installed in the vehicle.
Currently, a so-called "Autobox" from the company dSPACE is being used. It's a professional solution, but not exactly inexpensive.
So far, I have come across the following control units:
Megasquirt - Open-source engine control unit.
www.megasquirt.de
EMS 8860 Sequential Motorsport.
www.luepertz-motorsport.de/html/8860_s_sport.html
Ontronic.
www.ontronic-efi.com/
Unfortunately, based on the initial assessment, the devices are officially intended for use only with gasoline engines.
Has anyone here had experience with any of these products, or does anyone know of any alternatives for use in diesel engines?
Thank you for your help.
Stephan.
