Hello,

I have a general question about the forum that wasn't entirely clear to me from the FAQ.

Is it generally undesirable for non-diesel mechanic customers to post questions? Or can questions be asked (including those related to OBD/VCDS), but they are only discussed with other forum participants, and Kaufmann A. GmbH does not comment on them?

Or is this only applicable to the forum specifically for "On-board diagnostics (OBD) with VCDS, control units"?

Okay, specifically: I own an original VCDS device, but it was purchased from a different dealer. So far, I've only used it for minor tasks, but now I have a serious problem. Can I upload the car scan data here and ask for opinions, or should I refrain from doing so?

Thank you very much and best regards!

Thank you for your effort.

Well, sort of. The information that diagnostic support is only available to customers or those who own a support key was already stated there before.

I'm just not sure if it's still possible to interact with other forum members, or whether that would also be considered "support," and if the entire forum is actually only intended for customers of Diesel Schrauber.

Best regards,

Conversations, problem discussions, and brainstorming can all be done without a support key; the support key comes into play when measurements need to be taken or an automatic scan is required. In short, it's needed for anything related to the diagnostic tool.
