Audi A3, manufactured in 1997, with a AGR TDI engine. Currently 401,200 kilometers.
AGR is broken
Original still unchanged.
Block, cylinder head.
Nozzles, ESP.
First original poem.
New at KM 398000.
All Pleul and wobble plate bearings. Oil pump.
Oil seals, drive sprocket, crankshaft, and chain.
Unfortunately, due to the lack of oil pressure (0 bar), the turbocharger also failed.
Otherwise, the tractor runs like it did on the first day. B.Eng (FH) u. KFZ Meister

A4 Avant 2.5 TDI, engine code AFB, manufactured in 2000, currently with 143,000 km, no modifications.
replaced:
At 35,000 km: Routine inspection. Front brake pads and rotors were completely replaced under warranty, including the installation of Audi's "NBL" (presumably a type of brake component), but there was still no improvement in braking performance when driving in saltwater.
40,000 km: Installation of the TAZ auxiliary fuel tank (NBL). Not perfect, but *much* better than the original! "Thank you!"
42000 km: Mass airflow sensor (MAF). I complained about the decreasing engine temperature when going downhill, but I was kept waiting until the end of the warranty period, and then at 120000 km, I discovered that the problem was with the thermostat. Thanks to the dealership!!
Right side CV joint boot replaced.
70,000 km: Longlife service inspection.
90,000 km: Mass airflow sensor (MAF sensor) replaced, new door hinge on the driver's side replaced because it was corroded and the door was no longer opening and closing properly.
105,000 km: LL inspection, replacement of 6 glow plugs, new wiper linkage.
120,000 km: Complete timing belt replacement including all pulleys, water pump, thermostat, and ribbed belt, along with replacement of the left axle boot. All work was performed by myself, costing approximately €800.
130,000 km: Mass airflow sensor (MAF), camshafts, rocker arms, balance shafts, etc. replaced. The catalytic converter (KGE) was also replaced. Due to the camshaft replacement, a complete timing belt replacement was performed again under warranty, including all pulleys, water pump, thermostat, and serpentine belt, as I had previously replaced it at 120,000 km, and it needed to be disassembled again for the camshaft work. I didn't want to risk the warranty being voided. (Total cost: €2886).
LL deactivated, now using regular, good quality 5W-40 oil every 15,000 km.
Oil consumption: 1 liter per 35,000 km.
Diesel consumption is around 7.5 liters, but it's 1 liter less on the highway at 140 km/h, and 1 liter more in the city.
"When it runs, it's pretty good, but that V6 engine is a real money pit." A4 Avant 2,5 tdi 110kw; AFB; BJ2000

Although it's not my car, but rather that of a good acquaintance, I find the mileage to be quite impressive.
T4 (Caravelle) with 75kW, mileage 426,000km.
- second clutch
- second boost pressure control valve
- Various vacuum hoses have been replaced.
- First engine, first transmission, first turbo!
- first ESP and first set of nozzles
Otherwise, just standard services like oil changes, timing belt replacements, etc.
You can hear the hydraulics quite clearly now, but I think that's okay given the mileage.

Passat 3B Variant TDI
Series 81kW/110HP...driven in standard trim up to 225,000 km...all components and parts are still original!
'Since 225,000 km, the engine has been chipped to 109 kW / 148 hp... current mileage is 266,500 km.'
Clutch replaced at 250,000 kilometers...
LMM (Mass Air Flow sensor) replaced with a DC LMM at approximately 190,000 km... then replaced again with a new, original LMM at around 256,000 km.
Oil changes every 15,000 miles with 0W-40 full synthetic oil. Air filter, injectors, turbo... all original parts.
AGR system deactivated at kilometer 255,000 due to excessive soot emissions... unfortunately, it only provided limited improvement.
The next modification will involve using 0.216-inch injectors... later, possibly a different turbo... if mine were to fail .

Passat 3B AFN, 258,000 km.
Nozzles (need to be replaced again).
Clutch is almost worn out.
Serpentine belt tensioner.
The freewheel is defective, which I noticed when I was replacing the tensioner.
2 cats.
And the diesel return lines on the injectors broke at the same time on the same day .
And it has the usual Passat shortcomings.
But, to be honest, I can't really complain about the engine.
I almost forgot about the three LMMs.
1st Turbo.
1st ZKD
1st ESP.
Best regards,

Volkswagen Golf 3 AFN, first registration 02/1997.
81kW series.
currently approximately 105 kW.
'The engine had been modified with 'numerous' chips before I bought the car. The previous owner was a passionate engine control unit (ECU) tuner. I think the car was probably his test subject. I bought the car with 125,000 km (approximately 78,000 miles) and now it has 230,000 km (approximately 143,000 miles). The car has been chipped since I've owned it, first by the previous owner and then by a professional. I'm actually quite happy with it.' Could use more power.
Since I've owned the car, the turbo has been replaced. It had clear signs of wear and tear on the housing, as well as on the 'rotor' (I'm not sure if that's the correct term) on the compressor side.
'At one point, I broke the differential (I had experienced this before with my 16V, probably due to my driving style). Then, a different gearbox was installed. I believe it's an ASD unit (from a 90PS TDI, which has a longer final drive ratio in 5th gear). Since then, I've also installed a new clutch.' Unfortunately, sometimes I feel like it doesn't offer quite enough grip.

Hello everyone,
Vehicle: VW Caddy 1.9 TDI 90 hp (AHU)
Year of construction: 01/2000.
Mileage: 285,000 km (original)
Mileage: 84,000 km (with a '10 Cent' tuning modification) - measured power output: 103 hp.
'Die Sonne scheint hell, und die Vögel zwitschern fröhlich. Es ist ein perfekter Tag für einen Spaziergang im Park.'
Mileage: 369,000 km (total)
Maintenance: Every 25,000 km, change oil, oil filter, and air filter. Replace interior filter.
every 50,000 km, including the items listed above, plus diesel filter.
Every 100,000 km: Timing belt, serpentine belt, and V-belt.
Outages: none.
Repairs: at 202,000 km, power steering hydraulic pump (leaking).
at 285,000 km
Engine control unit --> Turbocharger pressure sensor -> Replacement type
built-in and 10-cent tuning.
at 345,000 km, central locking system - radio receiver defective (original VW).
At 365,000 km, the brush holders and carbon brushes were replaced.
The Caddy has been driven approximately 120,000 km in total, and during that time, it has always been driven with a trailer, carrying a load of 900-1100 kg.
As a single vehicle, it usually needs to fly more often than it drives. Driving long distances, 400-600 km, is almost standard (it's possible, but only at night).
Maximum speed according to the speedometer: 195 km/h at 4200 RPM.
Fuel consumption: 6.5 to 8.0 liters per 100 kilometers, depending on driving style. Free Autobahn (highway) or with trailer (approved for 100 km/h).
Regards,
TT - Diesel.

Golf IV AHF, 110 hp (stock) / 148 hp (tuned), 350 Nm torque, Tuneline chip tuning, installed with 60,000 km on the clock.
now 304,000 kilometers (or miles, depending on the context).
To be done on the engine: nothing other than oil & filter change & water pump replacement (5W40 synthetic, every 10,000 miles).
Head gasket, clutch, and turbocharger – all original!
Fuel consumption is slowly increasing: new = 5.4 liters, now = 6.4 liters.
I'll be changing the nozzles soon.
super engine!

Sharan, year 1996, 1.9 TDI with a whopping 90 horsepower.
Total mileage: 320,000 km. Chip installed for 120 horsepower for the last 40,000 km.
To note:
It still has the original exhaust system installed .
Repairs:
Regular replacement of the stabilizer links, replacement of the N75 valve and its vacuum hoses, and replacement of the head gasket at 250,000 km. Additionally, the bearings on the control arms were replaced. It runs great! The maximum speed according to the speedometer is 200 km/h without a chip, and 165 km/h with a chip. Recently, it has been needing a little more oil, but it is still within the tolerance .

Volkswagen Golf 3, model 1Z, first registration 7/1996.
- Current mileage: 268,000 km
- Kilometers at engine replacement: 240,000
So far, no problems other than the clutch (the original one only lasted one day), no measurable oil consumption, compression is almost like new on all cylinders, fuel consumption is between 5.1 and 7 liters, depending on driving style.
AND: I only use regular diesel, no biofuel garbage, no 2-stroke oil, or any other experimental fluids --> The engine runs like a charm!
The only thing I changed was the oil; I'm now using 10W60.
I still have a T4 from 1993 with an AAB engine (naturally aspirated diesel, 2.4L, 5-cylinder).
This is my workhorse; it's only driven with heavy loads and a large trailer (never less than 2 tons).
Mileage to date: 453,000 km.
Damages:
- ZKD 1x (!)
- Cylinder head replaced at 250,000 km due to cracks.
Otherwise, there are no significant damages to the engine, the compression is perfectly fine, and the oil consumption is less than 0.5 liters per oil change interval (7500 km).
I'd really like to reset the odometer to 000000, let's see if I can do it...

My cousin's husband is a taxi driver in GR, Korinthos.
His company car, which he shares with his colleague (12 hours for him, 12 hours for the colleague), runs day and night.
A 1994 Opel Omega 2.5 TD (130 hp, BMW engine), manual transmission. The body has approximately 2.5 million kilometers on it.
About a week ago, the fourth replacement machine arrived, and it also has a new clutch.
So, about 850,000 kilometers per engine, not bad, right?
And it's not driven cautiously.
Oil change + all filter changes every 20,000 km.
He had the last engine chipped, bringing the horsepower up to around 160.
He has already ordered a Toyota Avensis D4D D-Cat, which is scheduled to arrive in mid-March, and he is already eager to see how long the engine lasts.

Here's an update on my progress:
Seat Arosa 1.7SDI, manufactured in '98, mileage: 136,500 km, EGR valve defective since approximately 85,000 km.
Defects:
At approximately 75,000 km: The release bearing was seized, and the clutch was replaced. Since then, I've avoided prolonged operation with the gear engaged and the clutch depressed.
At 93,000 km: The injection timing adjuster piston is stuck in the ESP (Electronic Stability Program) unit. After cleaning N108, increasing the spring preload, and adding some oil, the error disappeared again.
'From approximately 110,000 km: Leak in the ESP system, using mineral diesel. Since then, it has only been possible to run the vehicle on RME (biodiesel) and RME/petrol mixtures.'
at 136,500 km: likely, the ignition switch contact is defective.
All in all, a pretty good record, especially considering I never got stranded anywhere. (With the ignition switch, I was able to push the vehicle and get it started myself).
Well, thanks to the fine particulate matter hysteria, the threatened driving bans, the stickers you have to buy, the diesel vehicle tax, and the looming biodiesel/heating oil tax, I'm putting in a little extra effort and driving quite a few more kilometers before my car is effectively taxed to death or penalized to the point of being unusable.
Well, in total, approximately 100,000 km with Bio-Dreckszeug® .
hello
Holger.

Here's a quick update:
Audi A3, 3/1997, AGR, 90 horsepower, with chip tuning for approximately 125 horsepower.
Total mileage: 240,000.
Chip has been installed since 80,000 kilometers, so since 160,000 kilometers.
A total of 400 liters of salad oil were processed without any modifications or renovations.
1. LMM
1. Fuel injector assembly.
The turbocharger has no noticeable bearing play!
Oil consumption: 0.5 liters per 10,000 km.
Oil change intervals vary depending on the season, ranging from 20,000 to 30,000 km.
Always use SLX 0W-30.
I also tried RS 10W-60, but it's like honey in the winter and difficult to get flowing even when it's warm.
RS 0W-40 was also terrible. Valve clatter and subjectively reduced power.
The clutch was recently replaced with a Sachs Racing clutch due to the extensive modifications. With regular maintenance, it probably would have lasted another 240,000 kilometers.
