Air conditioner smells bad (Solution)

Hi fans,

My G4's air conditioning system smells like rotten eggs or sour milk... which is awful. What could be causing this? What can be done about it? What does it cost?

Hi,

Please verschandeln the pollen filter in the water tank and be happy about the ecosystem that has formed in the air conditioning evaporator.
Against:
- hot steam (briefly, with air conditioning evaporators operating at room temperature) or
- Spray with Febreze.

Alternatively, you can spray in some air conditioner cleaner (around 10 euros, enough for 2 applications).

- Ventilation on full blast.
- Spray the substance into the airflow through the recirculation flap (not through the water reservoir, as that will get messy).
- Turn off ventilation and wait.

The foam disinfects the heat exchanger and then drains off as a liquid through the drainage hole.

Hello, bacteria that thrive in this climate are spreading. Solution: As described above by Rainer or in the variant mentioned.

If applicable, please remember to replace the pollen filter.

It is recommended to perform the "disinfection" without a pollen filter whenever possible, because otherwise a large portion of the product will end up in the filter.
