These time ranges help me estimate how long I need to preheat.
This morning (for 45 minutes) was also clearly not enough time.

I actually managed to find the instructions.

"Recommended operating time for engine preheaters"

-20°C - 3 hours.
-10°C - 2 hours.
-5°C - 1.5 hours.
0°C - 1 hour.
10°C - 1 hour.

The resistor wire itself acts as a thermal fuse.
