In a 2.5L TDI Audi A4, what might be defective in this case?
The master cylinder in the footwell is sealed, but the other one can probably only be checked after removing the transmission?
What is the expected cost of such a renovation project? Does the engine need to be removed?
Best regards,
Sepp.
I'll probably hand in the part for repair after this, and I'm still a bit unsure about what to get as a replacement.

As far as I know, the clutch slave cylinder on the transmission can be removed while the transmission is still installed (you can simply follow the clutch line). I once removed it to inspect it (check the internal pump and try to push the cylinder in). You won't lose any brake fluid, right? Aktuell:

First, you should bleed the clutch, as it can be done with the system installed and is relatively simple compared to everything else. If there's a lack of brake fluid (be aware that the clutch draws its fluid from the rear section of the reservoir, which is separated), you should check under the transmission to see if there's a leak there or along the way. Does the pedal still have resistance?

Thank you for your answers!
According to the mechanic, the printing plate is broken.
Best regards.
Sepp.

Hello everyone, recently, the clutch on my ASZ engine isn't disengaging properly.
However, this is not a permanent problem, but rather occurs sporadically when the engine is cold and during city driving.
When I'm at a red light and press the clutch pedal while keeping the gear engaged, I can feel the clutch slipping and the engine trying to pull the car forward. When I release the brake, it starts to roll forward.
What should I be looking for? The problem is not reproducible, and I first noticed it about a week ago.
Best regards,
Sebastian. BMW 123d Coupe

Does the clutch engage quite low down? Aktuell:

If it doesn't separate properly, the cutting point shifts all the way down, and it closes much earlier.
If the problem isn't currently occurring, the point where the friction occurs is located relatively high up in the pedal stroke. BMW 123d Coupe
